The RELIEF Foundation (Relieving and Embracing Lives Interrupted By Earth’s Forces) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing medical, humanitarian, and reconstruction disaster relief to people and areas that have experienced great hardship due to nature’s forces.
Founded in 2005 by students from the University of Miami, we have sent teams to assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi, the earthquake in Haiti, the tsunami in Japan, floods in Georgia, tornadoes in Colorado, hurricane Harvey in Houston, and most recently hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. The RELIEF Foundation is not a first responder. We arrive when it is time to rebuild, rejuvenate and empower local leaders who step up to repair and normalize their communities.
